Stray: Cyber Cat Simulator

By Donovan

The premise of a cat doing everything it can to reach its brethren is extraordinary, and it’s just the beginning of Stray. The game is a combination of genres since it’s an adventure game combined with a cyberpunk title and also a platformer, and spice of horror. You won’t find people here, just robots, cats and all kinds of enemies that you will face.

Unlike other games where you are a very special cat, Stray just brings you an ordinary cat. That being said, the cat whose role you play is very intelligent and that on its own is going to help you quite a bit. The story is interesting too since you get lost from your brothers and your focus is to find them. However, going through this large cyberpunk world trying to find the other cats is not going to be easy. It’s one of those things that certainly has challenges, but that’s what makes the game very fun.

What we love about Stray is the unique world you are getting into. The cyberpunk theme really fits the game, and the world itself is stunning. And since we are playing the role of a cat, we do have lots of verticality, which is something that can be a bit of a challenge. But the truth is that Stray always offers you a way to complete every challenge along the way.

And yes, you will have situations where you can choose different paths and directions. This is cool because it adds to the vibe of the game, while also bringing in a very engaging experience and fun moments. You even get to learn more about the city and its robots. You can feel free to talk with everyone or with just those robots that will help push the story forward.

At the same time, you also have some platforming elements in here too. We found those elements to blend very well together and you will be amazed by the quality and style that appears along the way. That being said, there are some places where you will need to try multiple times before you can go onward. But that’s the cool factor in a game like this. You get to enjoy the experience and just have fun for a change. Yes, it can be demanding and it certainly has challenges, but it’s also a part of the charm.

We like the animations in particular because you really feel like a cat here. The game world itself is very enjoyable and rewarding, and you will find yourself traveling and trying out new things all the time. But then again, that’s where the true excitement and fun come from in a game like Stray. Everything is solid and very well done, and you will love the style and attention to detail.

Even if the game is not super long, it does have a variety of quests and also some side quests, even some collectibles. This means the game does encourage you to roam around, travel, and see what you can grab as extra items. This is cool because you will constantly visit new locations. There are puzzles, but none of them felt too hard. That means most of us will be able to solve them in a few tries without issues.

Stray might be 5-6 hours long, but it’s a really fun game and a wonderful experience. It’s a game that has a great story, and a lot of heart, and it’s not overly challenging. That’s why it’s totally worth giving it a shot, as you will find it delightful and never too hard.
